On the 11th of March Nokia expanded its Xpress Music segment by adding two more phones The 5730Xpress Music and The 5330Xpress Music through a Virtual launch. It also a added a new brand Xpress Radio by launching the 5030 too.

The 5730Xpress Music

The 5730Xpress Music is the one that was earlier leaked and was extensively reviewed by Eldar from the Mobile Review. In-fact my first blog post Nokia’s QWERTY Romance also featured this device.

With Nokia announcing the E75 earlier, the 5730 seems like the same device but with a different ‘D’pad surrounding keycluster and Xpress Music branding.

The device shall be available in four colours when launched;

Red

Pink

Blue

Silver

With the Nokia 5730 Nokia brings out the first non NSeries, ESeries or Communicator device with a full QWERTY keyboard with Xpress Music branding. This suggests that the device is aimed at young people who love music and into surfing their favourite social networking sites from the mobile device. by looks of it the device looks great. I personally love the silver colour device, while the pink one shall definitely get some following from the fairer sex. The dot matrix type key labeling does not go well with me, and 1000mAh battery?? surely they could have squeezed in a 1500mAh battery like the E71… All said the device looks great and i am always game for a QWERTY. Rest depends when i have this device in my hands.

The Nokia 5330Xpress Music

Nokia somehow managed to keep this device under wraps till one day before its Virtual launch. The device sports an Edgy design and  fir me it looks like the N86 minus the diagonal multimedia key and cut at the top, but i must add here that i still like it. Still its refreshing to see Nokia experimenting with designs of its devices to give us something new in the dual slider format. The device features a touch strip on the left hand side that has the music control buttons.

The device shall come in two colours

White and Blue

Black and Red

5o30Xpress Radio

Generally basic entry level phones do not find mention on my blog but this phone comes along with two new features. This is a basic phone featuring an inbuilt FM Radio antenna, a fisrt from Nokia, with a dedicated FM Radio key a very loud speaker, all thrown in to give it another first the Xpress Radio branding.
